We had a fun filled Saturday on June 11th. Kristen and Julia participated with Team Barlow in the Walk for Lupus Now 5K at the Orange County Great Park. There was a huge turn out! We had about 15 from our team come and participate in the walk. The Walk raised over 100,000 dollars! I am so grateful for everyone who participated in anyway - walking, donating, becoming a team member. Jen even came down from Santa Barbara. Debbie has been diagnosed with Lupus for over three years now and it was a good way to show support. We are so happy that she is pregnant with a little boy due in August.

Riley participated in Camp Pendelton's Mud Run - 10K. He participated in team from his employer, Hensel Phelps. Along with running a 6 miles there is tire obstacles, river crossings, walls with mud on both sides, tunnel crawl, slippery hill climb, and the final 30-foot mud pit. Of course Riley had a blast running with his co-workers and wrestling them in the mud pits during the run! He surprisingly saw his sister-in-law Kim there.
In the afternoon, we all went to Hensel Phelps' picnic party at Doheny beach. The sun came out and it was a perfect afternoon. Riley played football and some other games with his co-workers. Everyone seemed to be wasted from the Mud Run that morning. After the picnic, we were able to hang with Jen, Kylie, and my mom at her house and have pizza for dinner. Kylie and Julia love playing with each other. Kylie was showing Julia how to crawl and walk up the stairs. We were all exhausted by the end of the day.
