I am 24 today! Holy cow that went by fast!! Life is so fast! I would like to share my testimony of the gospel today since it is one of the most important things in my life and gets stronger with age.
I know that there is a God who is our Heavenly Father who hears and answers our prayers and wants the most happiness for us. He loves us so much individually and has a plan for all of us. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he came to earth and suffered in Gethsemane and gave us the atonement. While he was on the earth he performed many miracles and organized the church. Over the course of many years after his death, the apostles were killed and the organization of the church went away and got confused. The Prophet Joseph Smith received revelation of Jesus Christ's true church and its organization. He received the Book of Mormon that was hidden and revealed to him by an angel. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ written by ancient prophets, when Christ came to the Americas shortly after his resurrection. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God as well as the Bible. I know that they bring such a great spirit into my life when I read them. I have a testimony in the atonement and that through true repentance we can become clean. And that the atonement is available to anyone anywhere. I know that God hears my prayers and answers me daily. I know that the temple is the house of the Lord. I am so grateful that I can think clearly everyday and have such a healthy body with the Word of Wisdom by not drinking alcohol, coffee, tea or doing any drugs. I have so many blessings in my life and I know that they come when I am faithful. My family, my home, my husband, my husband's job, my beautiful sweet daughter, where I live, and my happiness are continuous blessings to me. We came to earth to be tested, to have temptations, trials, and to have success. Through our good works we show service to our God. If we can endure to the end and keep our covenants and continue to do good works, we can live with Heavenly Father in Heaven again with our families. I am so grateful that we can have eternal families because I love mine so much! I love all my friends so much too. We are all children of God and somewhere deep in each of us we know that. What a great idea to record your testimony on your birthday!! Thanks for sharing! It's always so good (and refreshing) to hear a friend's testimony. I think it gives us a brief glimpse into seeing the real you and like you said the things that you value most.
