plumb-diddly-umptious: Pacific Beach Weekend with the Hulmes!

We had a wonderful labor day weekend down in Pacific Beach at the Hulme's condo. Here is the recap:
Friday
We had a long drive (but not as bad as it could of been since Riley got off work early) down to PB in San Diego. When we arrived at the hotel, we could not believe it was so close to the beach and had such a beautiful view! The condo was amazing and had huge rooms, a huge kitchen, and large sliding glass doors that made you feel like you were at the beach no matter what time of day. It was fun to see the Hulmes again and have Julia and Kylie play so well together.
Saturday
On Saturday, Riley went surfing in the morning right in front of our hotel. When he got back, I went on a run down the beach walk that was fantastic. It is so motivating to run in and out of people and see all the other runners out as well. In the afternoon, we all went down and played on the beach (pictures below). Kylie and Julia had so much fun in the sand while all the adults enjoyed soaking up the sun! Although there was a cold breeze that most of the time I had a towel around me. For dinner, we went to a sandwich/salad restaurant called Zanzibar off of Garnet street (the main street in Pacific Beach). The food was terrific. That night we all watched a movie on TV on the condos nice couches.
Sunday
On Sunday morning we all went to church. The Pacific Beach building was pretty cool. We all took Sunday naps afterwards. While the girls were still napping, we had some yummy Enchiladas for dinner and played some pretty funny games wink*wink*. Randy and Alyssa Hulme came over afterwards and we all talked and played with the little girls. Later that night, Jen and I snuck away to Cold Stone after the babies fell asleep and had some much needed girl time.
MondayEarly Monday morning, Chris and Riley went Surfing up in Encinitas. Riley's brother Spencer met up with them as well. Riley said it was an awesome surf sesh where he got at least 40 waves. Then we all went for a walk down Garnet street to look at all the shops (the main street in PB). It rained on us some, but it was still super fun. Riley, Julia, and I left around 330 to miss the later traffic.

It was a perfect weekend! The girls played so well together. Julia loves following Kylie and watching what Kylie does and says.
