Julia's New Car Seat
Yes we decided to spend a fortune on the Britax Advocate 70CS because of the safety ratings. And I am actually okay with it. Julia loves her car seat. The only problems exist because she is still rear facing --- 1)she can't see out the side windows anymore (those big black things by her head are blocking her view) and 2)she can't see the front seats anymore (in her old car seat she used to be able to turn her head up and around to see me) and 3)I feel like her legs are more squished into the seat in front of her then they were in her infant carrier. So we might go front facing soon. The rule used to be until one-year, just recently a few months back they changed it to two years. I'm sorry, let me clarify, its not a rule, it's a "suggestion."

We love Britax! Oliver has that same one! You can't put a price on safety, seriously. We faced Oliver forward at a year (to each his own). Could you imagine our 37-inch, 35 pound not-even-2-year-old getting on board with being rear-facing? Haha. Every baby/parent is different--you're such a good mommy!
