Sunday, November 6 - Hat Outfit

I swear its been raining every weekend for the last few months.  What the heck?  Anyways, this is Julia's outfit from two Sundays ago.  She kept her hat on the whole time in Sacrament meeting, amazing right?  I think it kept her head nice and warm :-)

Comfy on the Couch

Alright so the weekend was very relaxing.  We watched Harry Potter Part II twice!  Such a good movie and ending.  So many people were complaining about it, but I thought it was great.  I guess seven movies later and I finally come to the understanding that they can't fit everything in. We tried a Farmer's Boys restaurant for the first time for Saturday's lunch after deep cleaning the heck out the apartment.  It was surprisingly reasonably priced and good, not the best though.  We also fit in some Christmas shopping at the mall to avoid the rain. It was Julia's first time walking around in the mall.  Who would have thought that would have been momentous.

Here's a picture of me relaxing on the couch, but Julia needing my attention :-)  Snapshot by Riley Plumb

Trials for the Better

We must remember that everything happens for our own good and progression.  Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want us to return to them in heaven.  They will try to provide us with opportunities to strengthen our testimony so that we may do so.  We can progress in our life unless things change in our life.  You can't achieve anything without work.  So be grateful for the changes in your life!  That means that God wants you to increase and progress!

Red Bow

So Riley had a blast ziplining yesterday.  He came home with tons of pictures and videos on the camera, which will be posted soon. They ziplined from tree to tree like little squirrels.  He was so happy and I love that he can get his adventure filling.  He is such a boy. Last night we had homemade fajitas and watched Muppet Treasure Island.  One of Riley's favorite movies.  He knew practically all the words to the songs.  We figured Julia might like to watch it with us, and she enjoyed some of it.  So it was a fun activity to do as a family.  Riley and Julia both fell asleep around 8pm last night.  And I had a few hours to myself getting some things done.  I am excited for today minus the rain.

Its getting very difficult to take pictures of Julia with my camera since the red light comes on before it takes the picture.  Anyone know how to get rid of that??  so annoying...but here are some cute pics:

11-11-11 & BYU GIRL

Yes, its 11-11-11.   There are already enough Facebook statuses this morning to ingrain it into my head.  Riley is off gliding through the forest...literally.  He is ziplining today with his buddies from work.  I guess all the unions have the day off for veterans day, so his company has the day off because no one will be working for them to watch over.  So hopefully he comes home in one piece this afternoon :-)

FOR GAME DAY last Saturday!!! Thanks to the Solano's for the BYU Shirt!

Your future is as bright as your faith

Amid this economic CRAZINESS, we must remember that our future is as bright as our faith.  Put the barriers up of scripture study and prayer.  Increase your faith and testimony daily.  Your future is guaranteed to be brighter that any one around you without a strong testimony.  The prophets have told us to get food storage forever which is a great idea and everyone should have some for this rough economy.  But the prophets have been preaching longer, since the Old Testament, to increase our faith and testimony.  We must be prepared spiritually for this economy as well as physically.  One without the other could create catastrophe in your life.  Please take the time each day to do scripture study and prayer. It really doesn't take that long.  You could set aside only 5 minutes and that can do wonders in your life!!!

"Baby it's Cold Outside"

So we put her down at seven last night, and guess what she woke up at seven.  Daylight Savings is horrible.  No more trying to put her down later.  I guess I will just have to get used to looking at my clock in the morning and seeing seven and thinking time to get up.  It used to be, looking at my clock at seven and thinking one more hour, woo hoo!  Anyways, we have had the heater on at night time, especially since we are on the first floor. And, "Baby it's Cold Outside."  Julia is Looking Cute Dressing Warmer....

Julia knows how to relax...

Did I mention how much I hate Daylight Savings ending yesterday, I hate looking at my clock reading 7 when I wake up.  We even tried to put Julia to bed later twice so far, nope didn't work.  We won't be doing that tonight again.  Also I am excited for Harry Potter Part 2 coming out on DVD soon, we pre ordered it on Amazon.  Hopefully we get it a day early like we accidentally did with the Part 1 DVD.  And Breaking Dawn is hitting the theaters this month!  And then Thanksgiving!!!  yum!!  And then Christmas, okay I am getting ahead of myself.  Anywho...

Julia knows how to relax right!!  She loves when we make her this pillow chair to watch Elmo.  She just melts in the pillows in relaxation.  So cute!!

Sunday Humor: Letters

My son's a CTR ... I go to PEC.
I work for CES....I study the TG.
I read the B of M .... I probe the D&C.
I search the KJV ... I ponder the JST.
Today in BYC ... we planned for EFY.
I stayed a little after ... and had a PPI.
The YM and YW ... are putting on a play.
It's one that I remember ...we did in MIA.
Before our oldest son ...went in the MTC,
He helped the BSA .... complete their SME.
Soon our oldest daughter ... is heading for the Y.
Soon our oldest clothing ... is going to DI.
Now, if you've understood ... this alphabetic mess,
The chances are quite good ... that you are LDS.

The Beatles - Julia

My mom informed me that the Beatles sang a song titled "Julia."  I had no idea.  But I think its fun that Julia has a song.  There are no songs called "Kristen" - I guess my name isn't as cool.

The Beatles - Julia Lyrics
But I say it just to reach you, Julia
Julia, Julia, oceanchild, calls me
So I sing a song of love, Julia
Julia, seashell eyes, windy smile, calls me
So I sing a song of love, Julia
Her hair of floating sky is shimmering, glimmering,
In the sun Julia, Julia, morning moon, touch me
So I sing a song of love, Julia
When I cannot sing my heart
I can only speak my mind, Julia
Julia, sleeping sand, silent cloud, touch me
So I sing a song of love, Julia
Hum hum hum...calls me
So I sing a song of love for Julia, Julia, Julia

AND A PICTURE OF JULIA BEING CUTE....

Roll, Roll, Roll

We don't jump in leaves like the rest of the country here in SoCal!!  So I guess since Julia feels deprived in that, she went crazy and jumped into and rolled around all of our ads one night.  It was super funny.  She kept laying on them and kicking or rolling around like crazy.  Needless to say, she slept well that night...
