Rose Bowl

Last Saturday, we went to the Rose Bowl stadium to watch UCLA play Texas Longhorns.  It was super awesome!  Riley's company paid for its employees to go and have a tailgate beforehand as well.  Julia took a nap on the way up to Pasadena which was perfect!  We got there just in time to grab some tacos and head over to the start of the game.  We were only about 15 rows back and had tons of space.  The rest of the place was packed, but for some reason our entire section was really open.  It was super hot that day - so we had lots of sunscreen and Julia wore her pink hat!!  We laid some blankets down and Julia played perfectly well underneath Riley's legs.  We even got her a yellow pom pom which she learned how to shake it!!  Riley thought the place looked like the Rome Colosseum.  We left during the 4th quarter and I couldn't believe we made it without a complete meltdown by Julia.  It was beyond fun even though Texas killed UCLA.  Supposedly Texas is ranked and a lot better so UCLA really didn't stand a chance.  I couldn't believe how much people get into the games and screaming mean things to the other team.  It must be some type of venting for them.  Anyways, we all had a terrific time!
